Duniesky Martín
The Memory of the Extra proposes to construct a pictorial register where funds of epic documental photography of the early Revolution are extracted and reproduced, thus rendering a revealing archive of the birth of a nation, which raises the secondary aspects of the original scene to a leading role. The photographic reference shall be displaced to render a new image and allow zooming a new text. The approach will focus in the refill of the story, as a reconstruction of the anonymous. Photography has always been subject to the questioning of the veracity of the portrayed, it fluctuates between reality and fiction. Contingent omissions due to the selection of the reporters and the narration, develop the idea of a society structured from the notion of immolation of iconic and paradigmatic personages. The historic commentary has been fictionally developed, according to the modus operandi of the story.
